Ability to add relaystate to Official Salesforce SSO app

Dion Thanos Feb 05, 2018 08:39AM MST

In the Generic SAML 2.0 connector you have a line for RelayState. This line says where to go after SSO authentication. This plays a huge role in CASB functionality and protection of cloud apps. Could this line be added to the official SSO application for Salesforce.

A great suggestion. We’ve implemented this as well as added the fields for additional, optional constant attributes and the signature method algorithm choice. Some options around additional attributes can be found here: https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.securityImplGuide.meta/securityImplGuide/admin_sessions.htm

To see the new fields for existing connectors, just open it and hit ‘save’. This will apply the new template options. Reopen the connector details and the new fields will be visible. This is additive only and won’t affect the functionality unless other changes are made. Optionally, creating a new connector will also use the new template.
